An L-shaped extension, this project was situated in East London and completed within 12 weeks. Let's take your through it!

The project kicked off with the demolition phase, where we took down the existing extension, ceilings, a few walls, basically clearing out the entire ground floor to make room for the new build. Following this, we got down and dirty digging the foundations, laying the groundwork for the upcoming living space. Once the holes were dug, we poured concrete to solidify the base.

Next up was the brickwork, and our bricklayers truly outdid themselves. Each brick was carefully placed, meeting the rigorous standards set by Ibex Construction. Their attention to detail not only added to the structural integrity but also enhanced the overall look of the property, ensuring a seamless blend with the existing structure. After the bricks were laid, it was time to secure the steel beams in place, setting the stage for the roof. Opting for a flat roof with fibreglass and two large light panels was a strategic move, allowing natural light to flood the living space, creating a bright and airy ambiance that complements the home's aesthetic.

With the external structure in place, we turned our attention inward, starting with the installation of underfloor heating. This addition not only adds warmth but also provides precise temperature control, ensuring optimal comfort for the homeowners. Screeding the floors came next, preparing the surface for the hexagonal tiles chosen for their visual appeal and uniqueness, adding a touch of character to the space.

Following this, we tackled the crucial task of installing plasterboards and plastering the walls, laying the groundwork for the final touch - painting.

As the paint dried, signalling the project's near-completion, we reached a significant milestone with the installation of the kitchen, the heart of the extension. With each step carefully executed, we brought the client's vision to life, culminating in a space that not only meets but exceeds their expectations.
